EnergyGuard Aromatic Polyurethane is a solvent-based, moisture-cure roof coating that provides excellent adhesion to asphalt and single-ply roofs.  


Uses

  • As a primer/base coat over low-sloped roofs such as built-up, modified bitumen, concrete, EPDM, and TPO prior to the application of our silicone roof coatings.

  • Mix well before use; thinning is not recommended.
  • Ensure the roof is clean, dry, and free of oil, grease, dirt, or loose coatings. Prepare bare surfaces and check for compatibility. Perform an adhesion test before full application.
  • Use when ambient temperature is between 50-90°F.
  • Apply subsequent coats within 24 hours for optimal results. Do not apply if temperatures are below 50°F or if rain is expected within 2 hours.
  • Can be applied with a roller, spreader, or 4000 psi / 3gpm airless sprayer with a 0.031 tip.
  • Do not leave a coating in spray guns, hoses, or pumps for extended periods.
  • Clean up with Xylene.

  • Coverage: Apply 1.25 gallons per 100 square feet with a minimum thickness of 25 dry mils
  • Elongation: 350% ±50
  • Solids by Volume: 68% ± 2
  • Shelf Life: 3 months at 40°F to 90°F
