EnergyGuard Silicone Coating is a high-performance, contractor-grade solution for protecting your roof. Its superior waterproofing and durability, coupled with elastomeric properties, allow it to adapt to temperature changes, ensuring long-lasting protection.


Uses:

  • Primary Use: Ideal for sloped roofs such as metal, concrete, and asphalt built-up, providing robust protection and extending the roof's service life.
  • Secondary Use: Suitable for modified bitumen, single-ply (EPDM, TPO) membranes, and sprayed polyurethane foam roofs.

  • Complies with Standards: Meets all ASTM D 6694-08 and -07 requirements for liquid-applied silicone coatings and ASTM C1305 crack bridging ability.
  • Top Coat Compatibility: An excellent top coat over EnergyGuard Aromatic Polyurethane for enhanced UV and ponding water resistance.
  • Mix thoroughly before using. Thinning not recommended. Mix well before using.
  • Roof must be clean, dry, and free of any oil, grease, dirt or loosely adhered coating.
  • Bare surfaces must be prepared and checked for compatibility.
  • Always perform an adhesion test.
  • Equipment: long nap roller, spreader or 3500psi, 3gpm airless sprayer with a .031 tip. Do not leave coating in spray guns, hoses and pumps for prolonged periods.
  • Use BUNA-N jacketed hoses for moisture protection. Do not leave coating in spray guns, hoses and pumps for prolonged periods.
  • Allow 24 hours between coats.
  • Do not apply within 3 hours of sunset, if rain is expected, or when the temperature is 45°F and falling.
  • Clean Up: VM&P Naphtha, Mineral Spirits
  • Color: White, Gray, Custom
  • Coverage: 1.5 gallons per 100 square feet yields 15.52 dry mils. Up to 1.5 gallons per 100 square feet per coat. Recommended 2 coats, 25-30 dry mils.
  • Elongation: 318% initial
  • Reflectivity: 87%
  • VOC: Less than 100 grams per liter
  • Solids by Volume: 67%
  • Shelf Life: 12-18 months (Unopened Containers at 40°F-90°F)
