SeamStitch Butyl Tape is a high-performance, pressure-sensitive tape designed for sealing around flashings, curbs, and penetrations. It can also be used to membrane roofs such as EPDM, TPO, and PVC.  It provides a durable, elastic seal that adapts to movement and temperature changes, ensuring long-term waterproofing and weather resistance.

Uses

  • Metal Roofs:  Ideal for sealing laps and preventing leaks.
  • Asphaltic Roofs:  Used to maintain and repair seams in modified bitumen roofs.
  • Single Ply Roofing: Suitable for repairing joints in EPDM, PVC, and TPO roofs, bridging tears, and ensuring water tightness.

Benefits

  • Elastic seal that adapts to movement and temperature changes
  • Sticks well to various surfaces like asphalt, concrete, metal, and more
  • Withstands harsh conditions and UV exposure
  • Provides an effective barrier against water infiltration
  • Ready to use without thinning, suitable for brush, roller, or sprayer
  • Maintains a clean appearance over time
  • Effective in both low and high temperatures
  • Clean the application area thoroughly, removing all dust, debris, and oils. Allow the surface to dry completely.
  • Measure the required length and cut the tape to size with household scissors.
  • Peel off a small section of the backing and position the tape at the starting point. Gradually peel away the backing while pressing the tape firmly onto the surface.
  • Press down firmly along the entire length to ensure a secure bond. Use a roller or flat-edge tool to eliminate air pockets and ensure a smooth application.
